Akwa Ibom State has been awarded $6.2 million by the World Bank for achieving milestones in transparency and good governance. The funds were disbursed under the State Action on Business Enabling Reform program. Governor Umo Eno attributed the success to ongoing fiscal discipline and administrative reforms.
