India and Indonesia launch temple conservation
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Prabowo Subianto have inaugurated a joint conservation project for the 9th-century Prambanan Temple in Central Java. The initiative, led by the Archaeological Survey of India, aims to restore the UNESCO-listed Hindu site and strengthen cultural ties between the two nations. Officials expect the collaborative effort to also bolster international tourism to the historic temple complex.
