India exports Kashmiri fruit to UAE
The Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) has successfully facilitated the maiden shipment of Areko cherries and Scentrose plums from the Pulwama district in Jammu and Kashmir. The produce reached markets in the United Arab Emirates, marking a significant step for Kashmiri horticulture. APEDA chief Abhishek Dev oversaw the initiative as part of broader efforts to integrate Kashmiri farmers into global value chains.
