India orders audit of drug approvals
The Indian government has launched a comprehensive audit of pharmaceutical drug approvals issued over the past 81 years. Led by the Drugs Controller General, the initiative aims to address safety concerns and modernize the existing registry of medications. State licensing authorities have been ordered to verify the compliance of products currently on the market under the Cosmetics Act.
