Japan, India plan year-end diplomatic summit

India and Japan have scheduled a "2+2" ministerial dialogue for the end of the year to bolster bilateral security and technological cooperation. Tokyo has formally pledged support for India's bid to join the International Energy Agency and has committed to deepening defence technology transfers. The summit is expected to further align both nations' strategic interests in the Indo-Pacific.
