Pakistan urged to maintain tax breaks
Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has formally requested that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif delay the withdrawal of tax exemptions for Malakand and other merged districts. The administration warns that removing these fiscal protections could destabilize the region's fragile economy. A decision on the National Finance Commission's tax policy is currently pending.
