Shizuoka Governor Yasutomo Suzuki has officially granted approval for construction of the Linear Chuo Shinkansen, ending a long-standing environmental stalemate. The project, led by Central Japan Railway, aims to connect Tokyo and Osaka via a high-speed magnetic levitation line. The approval removes a critical barrier that had previously halted progress through the Southern Japan Alps region.
